Amden’s new project, specifically tailored wedding events (Amdenweddings.cz) attended the prestigious Wedding Expo at the Hotel International in Prague. And it certainly held its own in the face of competition from other wedding salons and exhibitors.
We asked Klára Synčáková, the Amdenweddings wedding coordinator, a few questions. Klára, how did the agency make its presence felt?
We showcased ourselves with an interesting stand, a video, and unconventional business cards made to look like a wedding announcement. Many of the fair’s visitors took an interest in our services over the two days.
What do you think the trends will be in wedding décor, dresses and suits this year?
The free and unbridled boho and vintage style, along with the motifs of nature and flowers, are particularly popular both abroad and here. As for colours, violet is particularly trendy, ranging in shades from this light pastel all the way through to a dark purple. But the most important thing is to create the wedding of your dreams and enjoy it.
Is there any point in wedding fairs in this day and age, when we have e-shops and social media?
Definitely. Lots of people keep up with the wedding trends on media networks, but they want to agree on the wedding venue, catering and programme in person. Doubly so when it comes to the dress and rings. And fairs are useful for us, too, because we can establish contact with various service suppliers and specific customers.
Wedding Expo is one of the largest fairs of its kind in the Czech Republic, with a reach that encompasses not only future brides and grooms from Prague and the surrounding area, but from the whole of Czech Republic and, more recently, from abroad. This year it was held for the eighth time. This elegant event hosted by a luxury hotel places a stress on ceremonial venues, wedding breakfasts, wedding dresses, decorations, flowers, rings, cakes, wedding photos and videos, wine tastings, and other related matters.
Call us or write to us, we’ll be only too glad to have a chat about your wedding plans at an informal introductory meeting at our office or in your favourite café.
